I'm a Visiting Ass't Prof of Spanish at K-State, fresh out of Berkeley, and adjusting to life on the great prairie. I'm interested in DH because I do archival work with periodicals from 1900-1936 in Spain, and am concerned with issues of preservation, accessibility, and the possibility of indexing/tagging many of these aging documents. Aside from my research interests, I am rather fascinated with the discipline of teaching as an active response to the current zeitgeist, and the ways in which educators can both adapt to the new generation and also encourage new ways of thinking in the younger generation.
